The Newberry Building
Tenant Improvement
The Newberry building is an existing three level "L" shaped building on the corner of Weber Ave. and Sutter St. in Stockton, CA. The building was originally constructed as a department store and is now being converted into multiple commercial tenant spaces.
Makeup of the Structure
A separate lobby is utilized so that the upper and lower levels can have a central stair system and an independent entrance.
The lower level "basement" is a slightly smaller footprint than the rest of the structure and houses a child care facility, that also has access to half of the street level.
The second half of the street level houses two restaurants, Papa Urb's and Alfalfa's, and FAHNS, a Filipino Historical Museum.
The second level was designed to house rent-able office space for a yet to be specified tenant.
